Looking Ahead in 2025

As we move into 2025 and the 119th Congress, TIA is excited to announce our latest enhancement to our advocacy efforts. In an era marked by rapid change and evolving challenges, our commitment to advocacy and policy engagement at every level of government has never been more crucial.
As we launch into a new phase of state and local lobbying efforts, we are driven by a singular goal: to amplify the voices of our members and ensure their interests are well represented in every corner of government.
As Washington, D.C., continues its dysfunction, state and local governments increasingly drive policy decisions that have direct impact on our industry and our communities.
From regulatory shifts to emerging legislative priorities, the influence of local and state legislation is clear. That’s why our strategy in these areas is ambitious, proactive and grounded in collaboration. Our mission extends beyond just representing the interests of our industry; it involves building lasting partnerships, educating policymakers on key issues and fostering relationships with officials who shape our day-to-day operations.
Our new approach to state and local lobbying is designed with flexibility and responsiveness in mind. As we navigate diverse regional landscapes, TIA has broken the country into five regions of members that will serve as committees to address state and local issues that affect certain areas differently. We hope this will blossom into not just an excellent information-sharing and networking opportunity but also state lobbying days and events focused on delivering more value for members.
In 2025, we are focusing on tailored solutions to address specific needs at the local level—whether it’s clarifying complex regulatory environments, advocating for fair and balanced policies or spearheading coalitions that bring together a broad range of voices.
At the heart of these efforts is a commitment to our members. By expanding our advocacy initiatives, we are not only defending the issues that matter to us but working to create a policy environment where innovation can thrive, businesses can grow and communities can benefit.
We look forward to the positive impact these efforts will have on our membership and invite each of you to join us in strengthening our influence and shaping a brighter future. Together, we are making a difference to improve the logistics industry.
As always, we appreciate your membership and value your input. This is your association, and we would love to hear from you. Reach out to me at any time at burroughs@tianet.org.
